Will Ananta Be at ChinaJoy 2026?

ChinaJoy 2026 ran July 31 – August 3, 2026 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center and has now closed. Ananta was never a named exhibitor, and across all four show days we found no report, photo or attendee account placing it on the floor in any form. Nothing surfaced in the days after the show either.

The two remaining 2026 windows are Gamescom (August 26–30) and Tokyo Game Show (September 17–21). Before either, there is a dated non-event window worth more than both on current form: NetEase’s Q2 2026 earnings call on August 20 — the venue where the only substantive official comment on Ananta this year was made. Is Ananta confirmed for ChinaJoy 2026?

No. Ananta was not a named exhibitor going in, and it never surfaced during the show. Across all four days there was no announcement from NetEase or Naked Rain placing Ananta at ChinaJoy 2026 — the official Ananta site published nothing about the show at all.

What the on-site coverage does show:

• The NetEase booth (N3-02) was built around established IPs. The line-up named across on-site reporting — including NetEase’s own channels — runs to Where Winds Meet, Identity V, Naraka: Bladepoint and Fantasy Westward Journey. Ananta appears in none of it. NetEase brought 30-plus titles in total, so treat this as the promoted line-up rather than a complete inventory.
• A separate hall guide published July 29 broke the same booth down further: six dedicated IP experience zones, and three new NetEase titles playable on the floor. Ananta is not one of the six, and not one of the three.
• The PlayStation booth (N1-G001) — the venue where Ananta’s trailer ran at ChinaJoy 2025 — published its full playable line-up of eight titles on July 29, and on-site reporting confirmed them one by one. Ananta is not among them.

Organizers put the 23rd ChinaJoy at roughly 900 exhibitors and more than 500 game companies — NetEase among them. NetEase exhibiting is not the same as Ananta being shown.

One important caveat, and it applies to everything above. Ananta has appeared at partner booths without being an exhibitor of record before. At ChinaJoy 2025 an Ananta trailer ran at a PlayStation booth, and at Bilibili World 2026 on July 10 – 13 the game showed at an AMD booth — there as an itasha car and a re-cut trailer, neither of which would ever turn up on a playable line-up.

That is precisely the kind of showing the sources above cannot rule out. Exhibitor lists, promoted line-ups and playable rosters are the wrong instrument for catching a trailer on a partner’s screen or a wrapped car in a hall. We searched Chinese-language show coverage and community posts for that too and found nothing — but absence of evidence in community reporting is weak evidence. Read this page as “no showing found,” not “confirmed absent.”

With ChinaJoy closed, Gamescom (August 26–30) and Tokyo Game Show (September 17–21) are the two remaining 2026 show windows before The Game Awards in December.

What we were watching for — and what to watch next

None of the four reveals the community was hoping for materialised at ChinaJoy: a global release date or launch window, a second beta announcement, a genuinely new gameplay trailer, or new playable characters. The same list carries forward unchanged.

Note the shape of that list: the earnings call is the only one where Ananta is guaranteed to be discussable, and the only one with a fixed clock. At the last two shows the game was not a named exhibitor — and at ChinaJoy that turned out to mean exactly what it said.

• 2026-08-07 — Four days after the close, nothing has surfaced retroactively. No attendee photo, no partner-booth clip, no merchandise sighting. This page is now final for ChinaJoy 2026: no showing found. Attention moves to the August 20 NetEase Q2 earnings call, announced August 6 for 8:00 a.m. ET, and then to Gamescom.
• 2026-08-03 — Show closed. ChinaJoy 2026 ended without an Ananta showing of any kind — no booth presence, no partner-booth trailer, no itasha, no merchandise. NetEase exhibited across four show days with 30-plus titles and Ananta was in none of them. A second hall guide published before the show broke the NetEase booth into six IP experience zones plus three new playable titles; Ananta appears in neither list.
• 2026-08-02 — Day 3. Still no Ananta showing found. The official Ananta site has published nothing about ChinaJoy — its news feed has no post about the show at all. Searches of Chinese-language show coverage and community threads for a partner-booth trailer, an itasha or merchandise came back empty. One show day left.
• 2026-08-01 — Day 2. NetEase’s own channels published their booth round-up, naming Where Winds Meet, Identity V, Naraka: Bladepoint and Fantasy Westward Journey among the games on the floor — no Ananta. Separately, on-site reporting confirmed the eight playable titles at the PlayStation booth, the venue that ran an Ananta trailer in 2025; Ananta is not one of them.
• 2026-07-31 — Show opened. Pre-show floor coverage described NetEase’s N3-02 booth as split into three themed zones — a martial-arts title, anime content, and a new IP — with no mention of Ananta in any of them.
• 2026-07-29 — Two days out. No change: Ananta is still absent from the exhibitor coverage, and there has been no statement either way from NetEase or Naked Rain.
• 2026-07-28 — Ananta still not named in ChinaJoy exhibitor coverage; NetEase is confirmed on the floor. Noting the partner-booth precedent after Bilibili World — an absent listing is not an absent game.
• 2026-07-13 — Ananta appeared at Bilibili World 2026 (July 10–13, Shanghai): a Porsche 918 Spyder itasha in Hall 5.1 and a re-edited existing trailer at the AMD booth. First physical appearance in months; no new footage, no date.
• 2026-07-01 — Organizers confirmed ChinaJoy 2026 dates: July 31 – August 3 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (theme “Level Up with AI”). Still no confirmation of an Ananta appearance.
