This is the July 1 announcement record — and the show has since closed with no Ananta showing found. See “What changed since July 1” below for the outcome, the ChinaJoy tracker for the full day-by-day record, and the release date hub for the three dated windows left in August.
The organizers of ChinaJoy have locked in the dates for 2026: the 23rd ChinaJoy runs July 31 – August 3, 2026 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, under the theme “Level up with AI.” A press conference on June 24 laid out the show’s plans.
For Ananta fans, this matters for one reason: it’s the next major event window on the calendar after Ananta failed to appear at Summer Game Fest 2026 (June 5–8).
What this does — and doesn’t — mean for Ananta
Let’s be precise, because the community rumor mill tends to blur this line:
- Confirmed: ChinaJoy 2026 has official dates (July 31 – August 3) and a venue (Shanghai New International Expo Center).
- NOT confirmed: Any Ananta appearance. As of July 1, 2026, neither NetEase nor Naked Rain has announced that Ananta will be at ChinaJoy 2026.
A dated show is a venue and a window, not a booking. ChinaJoy is one of Asia’s largest gaming events and a natural fit for a Chinese-developed title — which is exactly why it keeps surfacing in fan discussion — but “natural fit” has never been the same thing as “confirmed.”
Why fans are watching this one
Ananta’s public beats have historically landed at big industry events — it was playable at TGS 2025, and a closed technical test ran in January 2026. With Summer Game Fest now behind us and no new trailer or release date shown there, the two most-watched upcoming windows are:
- ChinaJoy 2026 — July 31 – August 3, Shanghai (the nearer window)
- Tokyo Game Show 2026 — historically late September, dates still to be confirmed by organizers (since confirmed: September 17–21)
If Ananta does show at either, the reveals fans most want (in rough order of demand) are a global release date or launch window, a second beta announcement, a fresh gameplay trailer, and any new playable characters beyond the confirmed roster. None of those are confirmed — they’re wishes, not predictions.

We’ll update our ChinaJoy 2026 tracker the moment anything about an Ananta appearance changes.
What changed since July 1
Two things moved.
First, the game appeared physically at Bilibili World on July 10–13, on an AMD booth rather than its own. That’s the second time it has shown on a partner’s screen instead of under its own name — which is exactly why “not on the exhibitor list” is weaker evidence for this title than it would be for most.
Second, the show came and went. ChinaJoy ran July 31 – August 3 and closed with no Ananta showing found — absent from the NetEase booth line-up, absent from the PlayStation booth’s playable roster, and the official Ananta site never posted about the show at all. Nothing surfaced retroactively in the days after either. The window this post was written about is now shut; the day-by-day record is on the tracker.
Which puts the point this post was making back into service, aimed at the next window. Gamescom 2026 has dates (August 26–30) and an Opening Night Live slot (August 25, 8:00 p.m. CEST). Neither is a booking for Ananta. NetEase Games is a confirmed Gamescom exhibitor; no NetEase title has been named with it, and ONL’s line-up has not been published. Same distinction, new show. The nearest dated thing that could actually move the release-date question is not a show at all — it is NetEase’s Q2 2026 earnings call on August 20.
